CALLING APPLICATIONS FOR THE POST OF DIRECTOR / KNOWLEDGE AND TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER OFFICES (KTTO) (PART-TIME), EASTERN UNIVERSITY, SRI LANKA

The Eastern University, Sri Lanka will entertain applications from suitably qualified persons for the post of Director / Knowledge and Technology Transfer Offices (KTTO) (Part-time) as per the UGC Commission Circular No:10/2016 dated 25th July 2016 and the UGC letter No: UGC/AC/UBL/Gen/2026 dated 14th May 2026 up to 15.10.2026 and it will be continued as a Unit under Eastern University, Sri Lanka.

The KTTO Cell Director (Part-time) appointment will be made by the Vice-Chancellor with the approval of the Council of the Eastern University, Sri Lanka for strengthen the Knowledge and Technology Transfer Offices (KTTO) as prescribed below.

QUALIFICATIONS

A Senior Academic staff (Senior Lecturer Gr.II or above position) and adequate experiences in the relevant field also be considered for the appointment.

REMUNERATION AND OTHER BENEFITS

An all-inclusive monthly allowance of LKR 1,000/= will be paid, subject to satisfactory performance.

REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES

• Developing practice and business oriented student projects
• Organizing trainings and coaching activities for business
• Implementing (technical) consulting services for business
• Implementing an IP policy at universities
• Promoting the creation of University Spin-offs
• Promoting research cooperation between businesses and the University
• Promoting strategic alliances with the private sector in order to develop the research infrastructure and capacities at universities
• Design, coordination and monitoring of the implementation of KTTO initiatives and projects.
• Building strong key partnership for the development and funding of KTTO initiatives and projects.
• To facilitate innovation-driven economic impact.
• To facilitate knowledge and technology transfer between universities and industry, including research commercialization, intellectual property management, industry collaboration.
