The Centre for Quality Assurance of Eastern University, Sri Lanka, convened a meeting on May 30, 2025, at the University Boardroom to finalize the blanket approval requests for postgraduate degree programs not yet approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

The primary objective of the meeting was to review and finalize the submission of blanket approval requests, along with the required documentation, to be forwarded to the Quality Assurance Council (QAC) of the UGC by the Faculty of Graduate Studies (FGS).

The meeting was chaired by the Acting Vice-Chancellor and coordinated by the Director of the Centre for Quality Assurance. Attendees included the Director of Studies of the FGS, Chairpersons of the Boards of Study in Agricultural Sciences, Economics, Aesthetic Studies, Languages, Religious & Cultural Studies, Health-Care Sciences, Sciences, Commerce & Management, Education, and Social Sciences, as well as the Acting Senior Assistant Registrar of the FGS.
