An Awareness Programme on Sound Management of Mercury & Mercury Containing Waste was conducted on 18th August 2023 from 1.00 p.m. to 3.00 p.m. at the SDC Hall, EUSL. The Awareness Programme was facilitated by the Ministry of Environment together with the National Cleaner Production Centre Sri Lanka under the project “Strengthening National Capacity for Phasing out Mercury-added Products and environmentally sound management of Waste Containing Mercury in Sri Lanka”. The target group for this Awareness Programme was all Technical Officers of the related Laboratories of EUSL.

The Second Session of the Training on Visionary Academic Administrative Leadership - 2023 was conducted on 18th August 2023 at the Boardroom, Eastern University, Sri Lanka. The resource person was Senior Professor Lakshman Dissanayake, Former Vice Chancellor, University of Colombo. The target group for this workshop was be academic staff who wish to be prospective academic administrative leaders in the university system.

Workshop on Management Information Systems was conducted on 13th & 14th of July 2023 from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. at CICT Laboratory, EUSL. The resource persons for this workshop are
Mr A. Ananthkumar, Programmer cum System Analyst, CICT, EUSL, and Mr S. Puvikanth, System Analyst, CEDEC, EUSL. The target group for this workshop was two permanent academic staff from each faculty and the faculty’s DR/SAR/AR.

The Session Three and Five of the Series of Workshops on Continuous Professional Development Programme for the Non-Academic Staff Members (Management Assistants and Allied Grades) were conducted by the Staff Development Center on 06th June 2023 and 08th June 2023 from 1.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. for all Management Assistants and Allied Grade employees eligible for their promotion examination in this year and next year in the SDC Hall, EUSL. The Resource person for this workshop was Mr. M. F. M. Marsook, Senior Assistant Registrar, Student Affairs Department, EUSL.

The Resource person for this workshop was Mr. M. M. M. Fareez, Bursar, EUSL.

The Session three (Managing projects at the Institution) of the Workshop on Multiplication Training Programme was conducted by the Staff Development Cell (Non-Academic) - ENACT of the Staff Development Centre on 1st June 2023 from 2.00 p.m. to 4.15 p.m. at the SDC Hall, EUSL for all administrative and non-academic staff of EUSL. The Resource person for this workshop was Mr. A. Pahirathan, Registrar, EUSL.

The Session two (Human Resource Management and Current Trends in Human Resources Management) of the Workshop on Multiplication Training Programme was conducted by the Staff Development Cell (Non-Academic) - ENACT of the Staff Development Centre on 31st May 2023 from 2.00 p.m. to 4.15 p.m. at the SDC Hall, EUSL for all administrative and non-academic staff of EUSL. The Resource person for this workshop was Mr. A. Sujendran, Senior Assistant Registrar, Academic Establishments, EUSL.

Workshop on Student Counselling was conducted for all Student Counsellors and interested academic staff of EUSL on 23rd May 2023 from 1.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. in the Main Hall, EUSL by the Staff Development Centre. The Resource person for this workshop was Prof. Mohamed Thahir Mahees, Professor in Sociology, Department of Sociology, University of Colombo.
