The Centre for Quality Assurance (CQA) of Eastern University, Sri Lanka (EUSL) successfully conducted a Workshop for Internal Programme Reviewers on 13 May 2026 at the Seminar Hall of the Staff Development Centre, EUSL.

The workshop was organized with the objective of enhancing the knowledge and review competencies of internal programme reviewers and equipping them with the necessary skills to conduct effective programme reviews in accordance with national quality assurance standards and best practices. The programme provided participants with valuable insights into the review process, evaluation criteria, and evidence-based assessment. 

The session was expertly facilitated by Prof. P. Elango, Director of the Centre for Quality Assurance, who shared his experience in quality assurance in higher education. Through interactive discussions, practical examples, and hands-on activities, participants gained a deeper understanding of the programme review process and their role in promoting continuous quality enhancement within the University.

The workshop attracted academic staff members serving as internal reviewers from various faculties of the University. The participants actively engaged in the discussions and expressed their appreciation for the practical guidance provided during the session.

This initiative reflects the continued commitment of the Centre for Quality Assurance to strengthening the quality culture at Eastern University, Sri Lanka, and supporting the University's efforts towards academic excellence and continuous improvement.
