The Centre for Quality Assurance (CQA) of Eastern University, Sri Lanka (EUSL), successfully organized a discussion session titled “Usage of the Manual of Procedure on Conducting Examinations of EUSL”. The event took place on 22nd July 2025 at the Seminar Hall of the Staff Development Centre, EUSL.

The primary objectives of the session were to:

• Assess the current level of implementation of the Manual, and

• Identify challenges hindering its full implementation.

The discussion brought together key administrative personnel involved in examination processes, including the Deputy Registrar of the Academic Affairs Department (EUSL), Deputy Registrars/Senior Assistant Registrars/Assistant Registrars of the faculties, the Senior Assistant Registrar of the Academic Affairs Division of Trincomalee Campus, as well as Quality Assurance Cell Coordinators from all Faculties.

The programme was facilitated by Prof. P. Elango, Director of the CQA, who led the discussion on several key areas, including the structured framework for examination administration, adherence to institutional, regulatory, and accreditation standards, and strategies to minimize errors, malpractice, and disputes. The session emphasized the importance of maintaining the integrity and credibility of examinations across the university.
