Workshop on the Development of the Assessment Blue Print
The Centre for Quality Assurance of Eastern University, Sri Lanka, successfully conducted a Workshop on the Development of the Assessment Blueprint and Constructive Alignment on September 16, 2025, at the Boardroom of EUSL.
The primary objective of the workshop was to guide participants in designing effective assessment blueprints that not only enhance the quality and validity of assessments but also support student learning through constructive alignment of teaching, learning, and evaluation.
The workshop was designed for key stakeholders engaged in curriculum design and development, including the Chairpersons of Faculty Curriculum Development Committees (CDC), two senior members from each Faculty CDC, and the Coordinators of Faculty Quality Assurance Cells.
Prof. T. Sathaananthan, Professor in Medical Education and Research, Faculty of Health-Care Sciences, Eastern University, Sri Lanka, served as the resource person. He provided valuable insights into developing assessment blueprints, improving assessment quality, and fostering student-centered learning. The sessions encouraged active participation, with ample opportunities for discussion, and were enriched with practical examples to illustrate the concepts.
